Braille template, one line.This new template prints fairly easily on an FDM printer. (The other one is better suited for SLA printing.) Print it with a fine nozzle, or set your 0.4 mm nozzle to print at 0.3 mm in your slicing software. Use a single shell and 100% infill. You may also need to print slower than usual. You cannot scale up the model, as the spacing between Braille dots is fixed.For the stylus, I use a rounded-tip dental tool (not the very sharp one). You can also use toothpicks, but their tips get dull after several punctures; so you might need several of them. :-) Yes, the stylus goes through the paper, but if you smooth it out slightly on the other side once printing is finished, it remains perfectly legible for a blind person.Don’t forget that you’re writing backwards so that a blind person can read it right-side up :-) So start punching on the right and work your way to the left. Use our guide to make sure you’re punching the letters backwards as well.
